Garden pictures

I just added a few older pictures of our garden. I haven't taken any pictures so far this year but I'll be sure to post some when I do. I plan on buying my annuals next week because we were still have pretty heavy frost overnight up until late last week. Hopefully the frost is over for now.

Out in the garden

Last weekend I spent 8 hours out in the garden and yesterday I was out there for another 6 hours but things are finally starting to look good. I love gardening but it's such hard work and I'm always stiff the following day. When we moved into our home 9 years ago, there was no garden. I decided that I'd like a big garden and now that's what I have but now it's too big! It takes forever to weed it all and by the time you end in one place, you have to start all again. Every year I swear that this is it, I'm not going to buy any more plants, but I always do. So far this year I've been good but I do on plan on getting some clematis at some point.

My next door neighbour came over yesterday for some gardening advice. She planted in annuals last weekend and she couldn't understand why they we already dead. First of all we have frost two nights this week. Secondly, she said that she had not watered them since she planted them in, a week ago! We have not had any rain in over a week and the days have been very warm 75 - 85 degrees farenheit. She definitely is not known for her greenthumb.

This morning I'm making homemade waffles for breakfast since it's Father's Day. Mom and Dad are both in and Mom and I are going to Cirque du Soleil this afternoon. It should be a great day.

13 months

Another month has passed. I really don't know where the time is going. We have now been ICAB approved for 13 months. There haven't been many new referrals posted lately in the Yahoo group which is a bit of a bummer, but I'm hoping that sooner or later things will pick up.

Raining cats and dogs

Well it has now been raining for seven straight days and it is driving me crazy! Not only does it make it difficult to garden and to walk the dog, but I can't take any early morning pictures when I run. To look on the bright side, at least the grass is getting a good watering.

On last Saturday, our last sunny day, we did a beautiful hike. I am finally getting around to posting a few pictures from the hike.

We have tickets for the Cirque du Soliel show here next weekend. I'm hoping that it will be good because the tickets were a fortune. That's it for now.

Not much going on

Yesterday after my four hour drive, I arrived in Gander. I'm working out here again this week as the regular pediatric physio for this area is still on maternity leave. I must say that I love seeing all the children out here because it's a nice change from my regular job. Today was a busy day so it flew right by. The whole week comes and goes before you even know it. I head home on Friday afternoon which will be nice because I've been away from Sid and Brian for too long.

When I get home I'll have to post some new pictures that I took on a beautiful hike that we did last week. There is not much else new around here. Hopefully I'll have something a little more exciting to report next time because the last few weeks have been pretty dull.
